Meetings begin at 7:00pm and end at 11:00pm. If you show up early - don't be surprised if you are drafted into helping set up! We try to have food and beverages at every meeting. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed under any circumstances at TGEA meetings (and we don't appreciate people who attend and are obviously inebriated). Members are expected to conduct themselves as Ladies and Gentlemen at our meetings - meaning no lewd behavior or attire. (IF you don't know what lewd is - ask!) We hope to make the meetings a positive experience for everyone who attends.
March 5, 2011 - Adrienne Hancock PhD is an assistant professor with the GWU Speech & Hearing Sciences department and she'll be speaking about the GWU speech clinic that works with transgender folks, and she'll be explaining the new WPATH section on speech & hearing. Also Nominations for board positions of President, Treasurer, Outreach and Publications opens.

July 9, 2011 - Yearly cookout. Social time!
August 6, 2011 - Thomas Coughlin LCSW discussing Mental Health Issues
September 10, 2011 - No program, nominations open for Vice President, Secretary, Membership and Programs.
October 1, 2011 - Play Reading with Melissa, Nominations close.
November 5, 2011 - Halloween, Costume contest. Election of Board Members.
